The Papillon is a wonderful little dog, with a very outgoing personality. They need a owner who makes them behave or they will run over you and your home.
The papillon is a shedding breed! However they require very little grooming because of their silk coats. They do not mat easily. They are a very healthy little dog with very few health problems. Originally papillons were breed with ears down and for some reason they have come up but not all of them do this . There are 2 kids the phelon and the papillon. We can never tell at 8 wks which one will be a phelon. So therefore I do not guarantee ear style.
One thing that most people are unaware of is that paps shed their baby hair at 16 wks of age and go almost bald. This is scary for some of you folks so that is why I am telling you this ahead of time. After they go through the molt the long silk hair starts to come in and it can take till they are 2 years old for it to fully come in. The males always have a fuller coat than the female. Figures doesn't it just like us.
